Wind turbines

We know that two of the main planks in the UK Government’s Net Zero strategy is to electrify our homes and vehicles and to de-carbonise the grid.

30% of the UKs total electricity generation is from wind power, half of it off-shore. And The UK government has outlined ambitious plans to triple off-shore generation by 2030.

Should all this wind energy come from large wind farms, preferably off-shore,  or is there a place for local land-based community wind power?

A recent Energy Futures article by Gastivists suggested aresome of the pros and  cons of large and small-scale wind turbines.
