Taking action on the climate emergency
Hope Valley Climate Action seeks to provide a local response to the global climate crisis we all face. Through our campaigns, advocacy and local projects we aim to tackle the causes and consequences of climate change and to make a positive difference to the future of the Hope Valley and beyond.
If you want to get involved in our work, we’d love to hear from you. Please email us at info@hopevalleyclimateaction.org.uk.

Edale Village Hall is at the heart of village life – bringing together local residents, walkers, community groups, and organisations working to protect our landscapes and wildlife. Now, it has the chance to become a symbol of what community-led climate action can look like. The “Raising the Roof for Renewables” campaign will not only repair the hall’s ageing roof, but also install solar panels, cutting carbon emissions, lowering energy bills, and future-proofing this much-loved space for generations to come.
This project hopes to demonstrate what we can achieve together: protecting a vital community hub while taking practical steps towards a low-carbon future. By supporting the appeal, you are helping create a model that other village halls, churches, and schools across the Hope Valley can follow – proving that local action can drive real change on climate, sustainability, and community resilience.
