H.E.A.T Home Energy Advice Team Pilot

Home Energy Advice Team Pilot

On Tuesday 7 November 2023 John Kinderman Derbyshire County Council’s Principal Climate Change Officer gave a talk about the new HEAT (Home Energy Advice Team) Pilot.  He gave an overview about a one stop retrofit shop service that this project would provide and also talked about other work the grant funding will cover.

Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire County Councils have secured funding to run a ‘demonstrator’ pilot called HEAT (Home Energy Advice Team) to support the improvement of household energy efficiency for householders who are able to pay for the installation of their energy efficiency measures.

This HEAT demonstrator pilot will be for a 2-year period with a target of directly supporting 245 homes across the whole of the D2N2 area (Derbyshire County, Derby City, Nottinghamshire County, and Nottingham City). These 245 homes will be broken down into:

  • 105 off gas homes
  • 35 solid wall homes
  • 105 hard to treat homes such as listed buildings

Aim

The aim is to select these across each district and borough in the D2N2 area.

The Heat Pilot will be led by Nottingham Energy Partnership in collaboration with Marches Energy Agency and Derbyshire’s Local Authority Energy Partnership
