Got, or thinking of getting, an additional car?
Able to drive, but don’t own a car?
Then check out the S33 Car Club!
A dedicated webpage has been set up to help answer your questions about the new peer-to-peer car-sharing club based in the S33 postcode area (Castleton, Hope, Bradwell, Bamford and Edale). The S33 Car Club allows members to borrow or rent out privately owned vehicles. It will particularly help low-mileage drivers who need occasional access to a car but without the cost and hassle of owning and operating one, and also car owners who want to reduce the net costs of car ownership.
The S33 Car Club is safe, easy and convenient. It is a ‘closed’ club for residents (ie. members only, rather than available to the general public). It is based on the Hiyacar app, which offers a safe, secure system that takes care of aspects such as insurance, access, and booking. Currently, one car is available to hire a couple of days/week in Castleton, so we are looking for both potential users and more vehicles across the area. There are discounts available for first bookings and for the vehicle access kit.
It’s a relatively novel concept, and you’re bound to have a lot of questions, which hopefully will be answered on the S33 Car Club page on the HVCA website, or by Hiyacar’s Helpcentre.
