Our garden is roughly half a hectare, including the site of the house, which is positioned towards the eastern end of the site. The garden is rectangular in shape with its length oriented East/West.

The garden is surrounded by mixed woodland to the South and to the North and bounded by laid hedges. There are habitat piles of decaying brushwood and prunings in all four corners. We have a pond, a meadow, a lawn that is given over to moles in the winter, a vegetable raised bed area, a south-facing soft fruit slope, a reed bed for processing greywater from the house, and a pond and bog garden.
