Move More July Update

Hathersage Gala!

This month, we had a stall at Hathersage Gala, and we had a fantastic time! We spoke to loads of people, gathered some great ideas, and got valuable insight into what might help residents move more and fit physical activity into daily life. Not to mention that our smoothie bike was another big hit, especially in the hot weather. Well done for all of the pedalling!

Here are some of the highlights of what you shared:

What do you love to do in the Hope Valley?
  • Swimming community, walking
  • Walking and looking at the views

  • The great outdoors
  • Rock climbing

You gave us some brilliant suggestions, including:

  • A Park run in the Hope Valley
  • A Family friendly cycle club

Thank you so much for all of your feedback and insights. If you have any more ideas to share with us or are interested in helping bring some of these ideas to life, we’d love to hear from you and are here to support you!
