June General Meeting – Hope Travel Hub

HVCA’s next General Meeting takes place on Monday 13th June and is arranged by the Travel Group. The theme is ‘sustainable travel’.

Assemble at Hope station from 7.30 pm. Participants travelling by train from Edale and from Grindleford, Hathersage and Bamford can arrive at 7.40 pm.

We will discuss the Derbyshire County Council proposal for Hope station to become a transport hub, and the issues involved. We will then walk, cycle or travel by car to the Old Hall tea room, Hope, for a business meeting at 8.30 pm. This will include a briefing on the Travelling Light sustainable travel project, where HVCA has been awarded a £120,000 grant by the Department for Transport.

The General Meeting will conclude by 9.15 pm in time for participants to catch the 9.40 trains home. Please come along!
