Hope Valley Art Trail by Rail Meetup
After the success of the first ever Hope Valley Art Trail by Rail last year we’re looking to get planning for September 2026!
The Art Trail by Rail will take place on the 26-27th of September, and we need volunteers to help make it bigger and better than last year!
What does the Planning Group do?
We meet online approx. monthly, moving to fortnightly as the event gets closer. If you would like to get involved or find out more, please come along to meet the project lead, local artist Emily Gait, and other volunteers on Tuesday, 7th April 7-8:30 pm at the Anglers Rest pub, Bamford.
We need a core planning team to help support with the logistics, communications, artist liaison, volunteer liaison, local sponsorship as well as supporting on the day itself. Examples of tasks carried out by planning group volunteers last year included:
- Attending monthly meetings to support event coordination and logistics
- Inviting local artists to take part and apply to be in the festival
- Collaborating with local businesses for art supplies for the art competition
- Delivering a workshop on the day for sketching and children
- Helping promote the event by putting up posters and delivering leaflets to local cafes/businesses
