People are beginning to ask us for advice about installing a heat pump, insulation or other energy efficiency measure. We asked people to report their experience and to tell who they would recommend. The following list is work in progress. Some of the traders and products we have used ourselves and can attest to their quality and reliability, others are ones recommended by others.

Insulation
Insulation is a good place to start. This can be a DiY project, but if you are insulating a tradional stone built house but will need advice about insulation, heating and ventilation to avoid condensation problems.
The following are the some of the types and manaufactruers of insulation products.

Eco Paints
A study by the Swiss Environmental Agency found that particles of paint are the largets source of micro-plastic in the ocean, accounting for 58%.
Recommended eco paints: Lakeland Paints, Auro, Fired Earth, Rose Uniacke Ecosphere Paint, Biofa, Earthborn, Farrow & Ball, Little Greene.
