Severn Trent Derwent Dam Survey
Severn Trent and Yorkshire Water have commissioned Atkins to explore potential options for the Upper Derwent Valley Reservoir Extension (UDVRE) project. More information on the process can be found in the accompanying slide pack. The options being considered as part of this project include a raising of the individual, respective dams or a combination of these or the building of a new reservoir. As part of the assessment of these options, Atkins are exploring the benefits of any potential enhancements to the surrounding areas.
We’ve come up with a series of potential new opportunities through an initial stakeholder engagement workshop, and we’re now seeking views on these from yourselves. None of these are currently part of the scheme design but may potentially be included in the future.
