July General Meeting – Renewables in Hope Valley

The July General Meeting is being arranged by the Energy Group.

Steve Platt will summarise HVCA’s Energy Study and answer questions. He will explain how much electricity we will need as we electrify our home heating and vehicles and will describe the options for local generation and storage.  Andy Nash from Hope Valley Renewables  will talk about the prospects and challenges of implementation.  We will then return to the Maynard Hotel Grindleford  to socialise and catch up on business.

Arrangements

7.30 pm Assemble at Sir William Hotel, Grindleford and arrange car share to Sir William Hill (weather permitting).  If it’s more convenient, go straight to the parking shown on map below.

Arrive at the corner of Sir William Hill Road and Edge Lane.   Walk 1km up the stoney lane to Sir William Hill trig point.

Talks and questions

8.30 pm Return to Maynard Hotel.

9.15 pm Meeting ends.
