Still time to Check your home for heat loss using infra-red imaging while the weather is cold
Thermal-imaging to see where you are loosing heat, is best done when there is a big difference between indoor and outdoor temperatures. So January and February, being the coldest months of the year, are the best ones to do it in.
If you wish to take advantage of HVCA’s energy group thermal-imaging service, then do get in touch with Jon Whitley soon. Jon is an Edale homeowner who has taken part in the group’s last two Open Eco-homes events. He is a mechanical engineer currently studying for a master’s degree in Renewable Energy Resource Technology and has extensive practical experience of retrofit work in his own house.
Jon can help you make informed decisions about reducing heat loss but this is “good neighbourly” help, rather than professional advice.
Please contact him (jonwhitley@hotmail.com or 07812 816 309) to arrange a survey.
The service is currently free, but a donation to Hope Valley Climate Action would be much appreciated. To donate, please go to: https://hopevalleyclimateaction.org.uk
